Pearl is a Chippewa Cree elder who was born and raised on the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation and is a retired Head Start Teacher who brings over 47 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field to the MCCLR Organization. Pearl is a First Language speaker of the Cree Language and is very knowledgeable about the Chippewa Cree culture, traditions, ceremonies, and history. Pearl raised her 8 children along with her late husband Eddie Whitford in Rocky Boy, MT as well as many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and is now a Great-Great-Grandmother.
